Here's a sweet and simple little idea for you.  Use washi tape to decorate your cake stands!  You can customize them to any occasion or party theme, because you know there is a washi tape in just about any pattern and color you can dream up.

Simply apply the tape to the edge of your cake stand,

tuck under any excess tape ...

and wham! Instant cuteness.  So easy, so festive.  Why didn't I think of this sooner?
