Happy Wednesday Everyone! It's hump day so not too long before the weekend is here, and yes, another week to wave goodbye to. Time is spinning out of control for me somehow. Oh well!
Today I made a sliding window card for this birthday card and I incorporated two Tildas! The focal image is Tilda with Presents and I replaced the presents with the cake from Tilda with Cake! I thought they went together very well and the cake fits in her hands perfectly! I could've used the presents, but I thought the cake would be cuter.
My card base is 5" x 5.5" only because it has to fit in a certain box I plan to use. I got my instructions from Hero Arts about 2-3 years ago (?) and it was the simplest instructions. I believe you can do a search on Hero Arts-Cards for the instructions. I'm not articulate in explaining and I myself am a visual learner LOL! If you can't find it, you can email me (kericami@aol.com) and I can scan the instructions I saved and send it to you. I can't find it in my files but I have the printed copy LOL!
So anyways, I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black on PaperTrey white CS, once for Tilda and twice for the cake portion only. I decided to paper-piece Tilda's dress and stamped on Basic Grey's Wisteria DP then cut out the dress and layered it on Tilda. I colored Tilda's body with Copics (E50, E00, R00), and her stockings with C0 and C1. I then colored the cake twice and cut them out, layered them together, then adhered it to Tilda's hands. I stamped the "for you" with SU! Great Friends stamp set, punched it out with my yellow Marvy heart scallop punch, and popped it up with foam tape on a Bazzill blue CS with my blue Marvy heart punch. I added some silver half pearls on my Nesties scallop die cut mat piece and one on the heart. Lastly, I added a wine/purple paper rose to cover the Holly in Tilda's hair, and added stickles to her wings.
When you pull on the tab (Su! Round Tab punch), the window lifts up and you see the message/sentiment inside. The "Happy Birthday" is from Hero Arts cupcake stamp set.
That's it! Fun, easy card to make with just a few cuts.
Thanks again for stopping by today and for leaving me compliments that encourage me to keep learning, and I do, from visiting the many blogs out there where you crafters share your talent and craftiness that I so love and appreciate. You all are my "reference library" and it can't get any better than that! Plus, friends are made along the way, and for that, I know I'm blessed.
Have a wonderful day, I'll be visiting you all soon.
