Happy "Aloha Friday" to all you talented crafters out there in Blogland! We can all start celebrating the long Fourth of July weekend coming up. Today I would like to share a project I had some time to work on. I'm slowly getting back to crafting.
I was so impressed and inspired when I saw a tutorial by Lee Ann Greff of Flowerbug's Inkspot to make a double pocket bag. It is so fun and fast to create! Thank you for sharing your tutorial, Lee Ann! You can find her instructions here.
I made a few changes to her instructions and it can be seen in the next pic.
On the cover, I used one of my new hAnglar and stAnglar stamps I purchased from E-bay UK. I don't know the name of the images, but it's from Kit #1.
I won't bore you with all the details as this was a fast and simple project.
This is the inside. The two little changes I made to Lee Ann's instructions were: 1) I tucked the flap inside so it looks like a "lined" envelope (shown on the right side), and 2) I did not score and fold the 1/2" lines in the middle of the double pocket bag because I used it for a different purpose and it would be too bulky.
As you can see, I was able to fit several (8-9) stamped images in each side pocket (4-1/4" x 5-1/2"). I simply trimmed the inside and outside with some beige lace trim and added pink ribbon adorned with little flowers from Kaiser scrapbook. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a wonderful long 4th of July weekend!
