My Very Own Tilda Doll!

I am so ecstatic! Yesterday I came home to a very pleasant surprise. All the way from the UK, Julia Roberts of Billbery Grove had sent me my very own Tilda doll that she handmade for me! I've been waiting for my little girl to arrive and am very fortunate that Julia succumed to my request to make me this Tilda doll after I saw it on Vivi Casale's blog and knew I wanted one to sit in my craft room to keep me company. Unfortunately, Julia will no longer be making any more dolls at this time due to her stringent schedule of accomplishing other projects she has put aside for a while. Julia (waving and jumping with joy!) thank you so much for giving in to my request. I will always treasure this beautiful handmade Tilda. She is so darling in her pinafore dress and lovely pink patent leather shoes. Julia has done an incredible job constructing her with her hair of yarn actually hand sewn into her head, the beautiful layered dress, her stockings, and a handmade heart for Tilda to hold. Julia was inspired by all the Tilda cards and projects she has seen on people's blogs and created the first one for someone whose name I don't recall, then Vivi commissioned Julia for one, and then me. Julia's work is immaculate...very neat stitching, beautiful fabric, buttons on Tilda's dress and her stuffed heart. I will keep this picture of Tilda on my sidebar as a rememberance of Julia's hard work so I can admire her everyday I'm on my blog. Hugs and kisses and blessed wishes to you, Julia. Thank you for making me a very happy gal!
