I added a bit of texture by using white velvet ribbon on the barn doors (which are felt) and brown suede for the "trough" inside. When Oscar opens the doors, he'll find three little felt finger puppets. 
I am really digging this page. My mom gave me a lot of good suggestions for this one. Someone asked in the previous post where I am getting the ideas for my pages. So far, I have come up with them on my own (with a little collaboration on this one with mom). I am a spur-of-the-moment type of crafter, so when the idea pops into my head, I just start cutting fabric. I use the materials I have on hand and just wing it.
Tomorrow I'm planning to do a robot page - it will go well next to the spaceship page, don't you think?
